Before you start

A short checklist.

Three things to confirm before you open the dialog — so the setup goes through on the first try.

  • You're a Nightcap merchant

    Your store is set up in Nightcap with a Business and a location (address, city, state, zip).

  • You know your DoorDash Business Admin email

    The consent email goes to whoever manages your DoorDash Merchant Portal. Only a Business Admin can approve the connection.

  • Your Nightcap role can manage delivery

    Your staff role on Nightcap includes the "Manage Delivery Orders" permission. Owners and admins have it by default.

How to set it up.

The whole flow lives inside Nightcap. Three steps, one email, one tap.

Open Delivery Integrations

In the Nightcap app, go to Settings → Delivery Integrations → DoorDash, then tap Set Up DoorDash.

Enter your DoorDash Merchant Portal email

DoorDash will send a consent email to this address. It should be the email of whoever manages your DoorDash Merchant Portal (Business Admin account). Only a Business Admin can approve the connection.

Tap Start Setup

We hand off securely to DoorDash. Already have a DoorDash store? Use the "Already have a DoorDash store?" option to link your existing Store ID and Business ID.

Here's what happens next.

Once you tap Start Setup, the rest happens between DoorDash and your Business Admin.

Right after Start Setup

DoorDash sends a consent email to the address you entered.

When your Admin approves

A Business Admin on your DoorDash Merchant Portal approves the connection.

Within 3–5 business days

DoorDash imports your catalog and activates your store — orders start flowing.

Don't see the email?

DoorDash also sends it to the existing Business Admin on your DoorDash account. Check with them if needed.

Once your store is live.

You can toggle delivery on or off, set a delivery surcharge, configure delivery hours, and manage item-level availability — all from Settings → Delivery Integrations in the Nightcap app. Menu updates you make in Nightcap sync to DoorDash automatically.
